The boot drive is a 120 gig Mushkin Deluxe SSD and I want to limit the writes to an SSD. Browsers can write a ton of stuff into a cache and an SSD in theory and probably practise only have so many good writes to memory before the memory fails.
Nice thing about this SSD is that even though it is a SATA III SSD, I have it on an Intel SATA II port and the boot time is less than 20 seconds from power on and about 3 to 5 seconds on a shut down. Darn quick! Of course it does help that the OS is Win 7 64 bit, the cpu is an i7 950 3.06 gig and there is 6 gig of memory.
I am still struggling a bit with the new OS, it is much different than XP. I am starting to like this W7/64 just for its speed alone, much quicker than XP, however I am missing a few of my old games that ran under XP but will not even install under W7/64.
