It's a pretty good e-mail client, but it does not support that many providers. It doesn't support my provider (iCloud aka Apple) per example.
Maybe you should marry that thing since you love it so much. Do you want to marry it? WELL I WON'T LET YOU! How does that feel?
That thing is probably some sort of raw sewage container. Go ahead and rub your face all over it.

I'm going to install it on my Mac now to see if something changed. I haven't used it for a while so maybe it supports more stuff now :)

Meh, it is useless with an iCloud account.

I entered my details correctly, Thunderbird said it found the correct server, and then it begs me to enter my details correctly, lol.

I would think it will handle that soon though as anything cloud is becoming more and more mainstream

True, but I'll stick to the default OS X Mail app. Then I'm sure it works correctly with my account (it even syncs my unread/read marks with my iPod) ::)

Well, maybe it's iCloud itself, but at least it syncs stuff. It wasn't doing that with Hotmail.

I've used Thunderbird in the past.  By the way...(for the original poster)...it's an Open Source Mozilla application.  It's a very good program...

After you install the app...you can use the TB wizard to automatically configure your email with minimal effort.  Sometimes you may run into a problem with this wizard not configuring your account correctly.  In that case...you'll have to manually configure the account.

A good read for migrating your old email accounts to Thunderbird:  Migrate to Thunderbird

I sure hope this info helps you decide whether or not this application is for you.
