Windows 7 Update error
« on: July 10, 2011, 01:17:36 AM »
I am getting this error "WindowsUpdate_80072F8F" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"
I have reset the date and time, even though its synced from the net. I have also checked the BIOS time its set right, the year is right and the AM/PM settings are right.
I also reset the windows update components manually and with a windows automatic fix.
Has anyone got any ides what this might be?

Do you have a new anti-virus installed that may be blocking this. ???

nope same thing, I have installed windows 7 into a VM to see if its the firewall and anti-virus.
since the vm goes thought my pc to access the net they should block it as well.

The VM also has the error. So its either the firewall or the antivirus. Time to uninstall them and see.

IT was nod32, I guess time to report a bug. It also stopped firefox from auto-updating its plugins and it self.

That anti-virus/firewall is usually very good. I'm surprised it has a bug in a stable release.

I think its the new ssl feature they introduced, it got firefoxes and microsofts old ssl certificate.
When they updated it, the connection would fail because the pc was using the old certificate.
