That all depends on the size of all the data on your computer,
The speed at which you can transmit data,
The speed at which your lightscribe drive can recieve data...
For example:- If your total amount of data was 100 Gigabytes and your transfer speed was 500 Megabytes per second then it would take 3.3 minutes.
If your transfer speed was 1 Gigabyte per second it would take 100 seconds or 1.6 minutes...
So..
first check your total Gigabytes and divide that by your transfer speed in seconds, divide that answer by 60 to get minutes etc.
ah..take into account burning speed if you're saving to DVD...

OK Bad News.
I tried again and reached 41% then it stopped. I let it go and my Disc Drive was getting hot. I canceled the backup and now the disc drive wont open and it says that it is stopping backup. Now I have to leave my rig on all night untill it is finished screwing around!
Help

If it won't open....there should be a small pin hole in the front on the door of the drive. If you stick a pin in there and push you should hit the release lever for the door. If you do it right the door will slide open slowly. When sticking the pin in though, do it slowly.

Well bigguy I shut it down and it opened when I restarted it this morning. I have no proof but here is what I think happened. I noticed it was backing up my music. I have some music that cant be burnt or copied. I think the backup reached that point and didnt know what to do. Just a guess

You should be able to bypass backing up that folder.

Can I bypass backing up my music?
I did create a W7 system repair disc for 64 bit.
I could also make a system image. What will that do for me?

A system image creates a dvd disc that is a snapshot of your drive. That's all it is though. after using it you will have to re-install all programs. All saved work for those programs should be there though.

If you have

an external hard drive encosure 2.5 "then you have no problems makingsure it is compatible with the old hard drive (IDE or SATA) ..Then jy'n CD to install drivers for Windows XP for the laptop. In addition, you have the CD keys and licenses, you should only install software. So best of luck man!!!
