Missed 3D Pinball from Windows XP?
« on: February 07, 2011, 02:25:11 AM »

Have Windows Vista/7 and miss the classic 3D Pinball from XP? Well, you can now re-visit that classic game on Windows Vista/7! All you have to do first is download the file below.

Download (link provided by Nesa)

What you do is then extract the pinball folder, and copy it to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games
The file should self-extract to the directory below :)

And then create a shortcut to PINBALL.EXE in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Games ("View Hidden Files and Folders" must be enabled)

And then you're all set! :)

If you want it in the Games folder that is shown in the Start Menu (not the one that is shown in the above image), open the Games folder, and then drag the shortcut from the Start Menu (All Programs) and into the Games folder and it should create a shortcut accessible from the Games folder.

These instructions work with Windows 7, I'm not sure if it's the same with Vista, but there should be some things that are similar. Any problems, just leave a comment. :)

Yes it's the same as the one found on XP machines, so just hit F4 and you'll be in full screen mode :)
And yes it works fine on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit system, so hopefully it works well for you 8)

You have to uncompress the file Pinball.zip.
I always use Winrar or 7zip to access these type of files.
Once you have it unzipped, copy the unzipped contents, all of them, and paste them into the C:\Program Files\Microsoft games folder.

I would post screens on how to extract a .zip file, but it depends on what extraction tool you use and I wouldn't want to post screens for every possible type of extraction program... :o

So if you don't know how to extract/decompress a zip file, Google would be able to help you ;)

You don't need to pay them download the free way
Click on regular download button, but since you have paid you can log in to their site and re-open the link.

Edit:
I have made it into a hotlink file so it should work like a normal download now, Casman see if you can get your money back.
