But on a serious note, I tried all night and thismorining, but the FTP just won't work,

Is it at all possible for someone to upload smf 2.0 rc4?
I hope someone can as my computer can't handle FTP system :'(

Thanks

I PM'd you....but, you can upload through the cpanel file manager as well if you have not tried that yet.

http://www.coreftp.com/download.html

This is a free ftp client which allegedly works with:-
Windows 95B with IE >= 4.1,
Windows 98 with IE >=4.1,
Windows 98SE,
Windows NT 4 with service pack (SP) 6a and IE >= 4.1,
Windows 2000 SP3, or
Windows XP SP1
Unless of course you're running Win 3.1..in which case it won't work... :)

I hear though it's one of the safest ways to browse the net as there are not many viruses at all running around on the web for that o/s Can you not even upgrade to Win 95. ???

I wouldn't be surprised if you could download it somewhere for free. There were 4 versions of it if I remember right. Win 95 a,b,c and an upgrade.

There are a few Linux distributions that are designed for older computers you could give them a try as well.
