Credential Manager
« on: December 02, 2010, 09:33:48 AM »
If you are running W7 and have had a little time to see what everything does in the control panel, then you must have already seen what is in your Credential Manager, right. ? Have you noticed this:

Virtualapp/didlogical

A lot of users have reported seeing this in the manager. People are saying that it is part of Windows Live Messenger. Some can delete it and it won't come back, others have to get rid of WLM to get rid of it. I have found it in mine and have deleted it so we will see if it comes back or not. Do any of you have it at all. ???

its not a keylogger, why be so paranoid, and get everyone eles worried, its   microsoft live search bar, that stores your cred, under that virtualapp   didlogical,i just deleted the live search tool bar,and had no further   probs with it comin back,

Don't know if it does work or not  ???

I don't have live search bar. I deleted mine before I left and just looked now and it's back. I think further investigation is warranted. I'm not worried about it being a keylogger but it would be nice to know why it's there and what it's doing.

I think it does have something to do with Live messenger because under that entry there are 11 instances of Windows Live services. When you delete Virtualapp/didlogical 8 of those are deleted as well. So it has to have something to do with messenger or the live services in general.
