Xp doesn't get it: IE9
« on: March 18, 2010, 10:10:27 AM »
Microsoft is going to keep IE9 away from Xp users. This means MS is the first major browser developer to drop support for Xp. It seems that IE9 will only work on operating systems higher than Vista SP2, or will it. It has been said that Explorer 9 requires the modern graphics and security   underpinnings of a modern operating system. One that comes around or after 2001. Didn't XP come out around then. ??? So is IE9 going to be for XP users. ??? Read more here to find out:

I had heard of Chromium before but didn't know this was associated with it, cool.

Iron uses the same code as chrome, but they remove all the call backs to google.

This won't affect me in the slightest....I have used Opera for years now and have it pruned/configured to an absolute minimum and am very happy with it.
I would only use IE if a site I need to visit absolutely insists that Opera is not compatible....
