Wireless Digital from Intel
« on: May 30, 2010, 11:35:43 AM »
Was watching a Win 7 commercial the other day ad saw a cool little peice of new technology called WiDi, basically intel developed the technology to finally beable to transfer your video connection from a laptop or a desktop to a tv wirelessly. So i looked into it further and of course you need a box conected to your tv and they aren't seeling just the widi component but still this technology is progress in my books. My brother and i download alot of stuff and stream it through our xbox 360's but in order to do that you have to load your computer with codecs and if your not running any special version of windows that includes media center you have to use tversity or another transcoder. Intel WiDi makes it so you don't have to do that you can just pop the entire computer screen on your tv with out messing with any wires. Now there are other uses for it of course, but i am not in a position where i need to make power point presentations or any other type of business presentation. So with what i do with my computers it is a great dvelopment and a long time coming. Well I guess it's not new but is becoming more main screen.
