hey i figured out the reason for it being sluggish my video card can't handle pirate galaxy or any other game except it can handle call of duty 4 and some other games

for vista does the video card memory has to be bigger than the shared system memory

When you have onboard video and then plug in a video card, the onboard video is automatically shut off and the memory it uses is given back to the system. On some systems you have to check cmos to see if it is shut down or if you have to turn it off manually in cmos.
