A second heatsink on a video card. ??? I don't think that would work very well.

I see what you're asking. Is there a fan on the video card at all or at least a fan in the case that blows the heat off of and away from the heatsink that is close to the video card. ???

there is a fan on the video card and in the case but the moniter continues to go blank but unfortunate i don't have the video card anymore i had taken it out and went back to my onboard card and now my pci express video card got fried by static electricity cause i failed to put it back in a anti static bag  so i'm in search for a new one that is compatible with vista

Maybe the case needs an extra fan blowing in the opposite direction as the other case fan. That would give it better air flow. Make sure your case is not sitting beside any heat sources like heat vents in the floor or direct sunlight. Also keep it up off the floor to reduce dust intake by the fans. Make sure that all heatsinks and fans inside the case are dust and hair free as well. These days any video card that is newer would be compatible with Vista and W7.

Try lowering the gamer resolution and detail settings.

Also disable anything else that is running that you don't need. Press ctrl + Alt + Delete and shut some things down you don't need while gaming.

Your computer will be different then mine so I can't tell you exactly what to shut down. Experiment a bit; shut some things down, run the game...and repeat until you feel it has helped.
