What plan to handle this website?
« on: June 05, 2010, 01:18:00 PM »
Hi guys,

My gf is thinking about having her own host for her art website but doesn't want to pay $100/yr like most hosts so I told her about you guys.  I'm just wondering what plan, if any, will have sufficient space for her needs since she has some bigger file sizes (photos) and will have more in the future.  Looking at her account right now in cpanel, I can't tell exactly how much space she's using, maybe you guys can help out -

If she is going to have more pics in the future I would say a pro plan. If that gets to small she can always change to a custom package from their if she needs to. However if she just wants to check us out for a bit then maybe the middle plan would be best for now.

if her pics are around 300KB she can host around 2560 on the starter package. The important thing is the bandwidth, how much does her site go through a month?

She will have more pics up in the future and I think some of the photos on there right now are as big as 1.5mb - only a couple though.  I'll have to look and see if those can be shrunken down though.

I'll check but I doubt her site goes through much bandwidth as she doesn't get much traffic at all.  Of course expecting more in the future but not much I imagine.
