Although this news is a couple days old I thought I would post something about it anyway. Maybe you haven't heard. So it would appear, the German government is warning all of it's web using citizens to find an alternate browser to use other than Internet Explorer. (Imagine that, lol)
Why are they advising people to do this you ask, well I guess in part it comes from Microsoft itself admitting that IE was the weak link in recent attacks on Google's systems.
MS is also saying that the risk to users is low and that increased security settings in your browser makes thing safer. We all knew, even before MS admitted this that IE is not safe. I personally use two different browsers to get around the net. I do still have IE but it is more for testing purposes.
Graham Cluley of anti-virus firm Sophos talked to BBC News and told them that not only is the warning for IE 6, 7 and 8 but instructions on how to use the exploit are posted on the net. I would be surprised if they weren't, lol. Anyway you can read more about it here if you want:
