Plantronics Bluetooth Headset
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:49:54 AM »
I went out and bought a bluetooth headset for my phone. Albeit a cheap one but it works. It was a Plantronics 220. Fits in the ear real nice, easy to put on and stays there. You don't have to keep adjusting it. As for options, there aren't a whole lot of them but really how many do you need on a bluetooth headset.

A lot of other headsets have voice control. This one did not which I didn't know til after I bought it. No big deal though. What I was really looking for was clarity. which it has got.

Battery life is about 2 hours (talk time) standby time is something like 200 hours or something. Which in my opinion is a bit of over-kill. They could have made it like 3 or 4 hours talk time and a bit less stand-by. When battery starts to die voices get a bit crackly.

All in all it's a good product. For the price of 29 bucks you really can't go wrong with this. I enjoy it and it means no more fumbling around in your pocket for your phone.

I found when I had one I would keep taking it off and placing it in my pocket and then start searching for it each time the phone would ring. Just could not get used to this thing sitting in my ear all the time. However I must admit when I did use it it worked great and the clarity was actually better than my phone itself. I not sure what make it was as it came with the phone.

I had problems getting used to it but now whenever I am not at work I put it on and eventually I got used to it. Now it's like it's not even there til it rings. I will get a better one but for my first I figured I would buy a cheap one.
